What Types Of Broadband Do We Provide?
ADSL Broadband
Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line
An Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) splits your telephone line into two; one is reserved for voice and the other for data. ADSL is up to 40 times faster than traditional dial up internet.
EFM
Ethernet First Mile
Provides reliable and affordable high-speed broadband. EFM uses copper wire which means swift installation times. EFM provides the speed and dependability of Ethernet without the added cost of leasing private lines. Another benefit is that upload and download speeds are matched, so your speed is consistent.
Fibre Optic Broadband
Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) is a form of broadband delivered over fibre optic cables. This differs from broadband delivered through copper wire as fibre optic cables are structured with a glass core, enabling data to be transported using light rather than electrical signals. Fibre Optic speeds are thousands of times faster than copper cables and even near the speed of light. An event faster option is Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), which provides end to end fibre optic connection. FTTP is comprehensive fibre optic coverage which results in even faster speeds than FTTC.
Ethernet Leased Line
Leased Lines are beneficial as the symmetric speeds result in better connectivity and faster upload/download speeds. Leased Lines are a dedicated and indivisible connection meaning other consumers cannot use your Leased Line.

Worried About The ISDN Switch-Off?
We've got your back.
In 2015, BT announced that they would be turning off their PSTN (Public Switch Telephone Network) and ISDN (Integrated Service Digital Network) by 2025.
Though this deadline has now been pushed back to 2027, we want to make sure that you are prepared. If you need help adapting to the VoIP system or would like to understand more about telecoms, contact BSG telecom today.
